Our expertise

1990

For over 35 years, I have been expert in gas detection. In 1990, I was hired by Sicli SA-NV, a Brussels-based company specialising in fire protection where we work with their range of gas detection devices : the TG250.

1994

In 1994, we revolutionized the sector by developing our own gas detection control unit, equipped with a microcontroller: no more ‘screwdriver’ adjustments on potentiometers: automatic, error-free calibration eliminates the need for four hands: a single technician is enough to inject the calibration gas while the control unit calibrates itself flawlessly. Our user-friendly interface makes the control unit easy to use for both customers and technicians.

2011

In 2011, we expanded our expertise to all types of gases by partnering with the English company GDS, a pioneer in gas detection since the 1980s. It has been a success: in addition to explosive gases (natural gas, butane, propane, etc.) in boiler rooms, our systems now detect CO in car parks, freons in cooling systems, and other gases including nitrogen, sulphur dioxide and cyanide.

2025

Following the bankruptcy of Sicli SA-NV in December 2024, which left many customers wondering about maintenance, repair, and installation services for gas detection systems, I decided to create Magnée-Tics to provide these services. The British company GDS has renewed its trust in us by entrusting us with the distribution of its products in Belgium.
